we’re opening our doors for brewing experience days, giving you and your friends the oppurtunity brew up a storm!
For the first time ever we are giving you and your friends the chance to join us for a day of brewing, being involved in the complete process from start to finish!
We’re planning to make a day with more hands-on opportunity than any other brewery will offer…
Loading and starting the mash process
In depth look at the ingredients and how they used
Controlling the sparge and transfer process from mash tun to kettle
Weighing and adding the hops throughout the boil, with an in depth look at the varieties and types used
Lunch and beer tasting included
Unlimited access to the brewer throughout for questions or even advice for home-brewers!

You’ll have the opportunity to get up close and personal with our brewing kit, operating the pumps and valves throughout the process. Be prepared to get mucky!
a day with hopfuzz

Let the mash begin!
Starting at 8am sharp, you’ll help load the mash tun and start the mashing process. This will be accompanied by an in depth look at the grains, what they do and why they are used for different recipes…

onto the boil
after a successful mash we’ll start the process of the boil, including the transfer and sparge process and how to maintain a steady boil.
You’ll help weigh and load the hops while being able to smell, taste and learn about the different varieties that make up our recipes.

into the fermenter
The process will end by transferring the brew into the fermenter and pitching the yeast. This process will include an in depth look into how we control the temperatures and flow rates to ensure a successful transfer.
Your brewing day will also include lunch at the Unit 1 taproom…
Once the transfer is under the way it’s time for lunch and a spot of beer tasting. You’ll also have the chance to ask the brewer any questions that havn’t already been covered…

To finish the day you’ll get a final look at the production side of the brewery including:
The chance to have a go on our bottling machine
The casking process including cleaning and filling the casks
How we keg our lagers
sound good? our first date will be announced soon!
Numbers will be strictly limited to 8 people per day. The price, including lunch and beer tasting will be £75 per person, with discounts on complete group bookings.
